Well, it's only rock'n'roll but we like
it :)
Trust the Cannabis Festival to produce one calamitous
bungle after another! First the generator wouldn't start,
meaning all the bands had their sets cut. Then, when T23
finally got on stage, the mics wouldn't work. And just
to top it all off, half way through their second song
the festival ended and all sound stages fell silent. Add
an epilogue of paralytic teens (alcohol i might add -
Laura, you're an angel) and being told at 10:30pm that
we had been locked in the park with all the gear and (someone
else's) van, and it was not quite the day we had all hoped
for. It was really touching that so many of you came up
afterwards and bought the new album cause you really wanted
to know what we would have sounded like. You completely
cleaned us out of CDs and it was a poetic end to the whole
escapade.
Big thanks to the Carnival Twist crew
who did an amazing job turning the bands over quickly
under sometimes quite surreal pressure.
